Entrants who are registered for and then cancel their entry for the 2008 Denver Marathon, according to the instructions listed below, are eligible for guaranteed entry (if event sells out) to the 2009 Denver Marathon but will still be required to re-register and pay for entry. All 2008 fees are non-refundable. In addition, those who cancel in 2008 and wish to enter the 2009 race will still need to apply for guaranteed entry and pay the entry fee by April 15, 2009. Accepted entrants may cancel as many years in a row as they wish.

Once you have canceled, you cannot be reinstated into the 2008 Denver Marathon. Your decision is final.

There are three ways to cancel:

Cancel Online
Online cancellations will be accepted until October 15, 2008.

To cancel online, send an Email to registration@denvermarathon.com with your entry number, name, address, date of birth, the race you are registered for and the words "cancel my entry" in the subject field.

Cancel by mail
Mailed cancellations will be accepted if postmarked by Friday, October 10, 2008.

To cancel by mail, send a note with your entry number, name, address, date of birth, signature, the race you are registered for and the words "cancel my entry" to: Denver Marathon Cancellations, Run Denver, LLC, 1400 16th Street, Suite 400, Denver, CO, 80202.

Cancel in person (beginning October 17, 2008)
On October 17 and October 18, cancellations will be accepted in person at the DM Health & Fitness EXPO. Canceling in person at the expo is the only way to cancel after October 15.

Early in 2009, all entrants who canceled their entry to the 2008 race will be sent instructions for applying for guaranteed entry by the deadline of April 15, 2009. If you do not receive those instructions, it is still your responsibility to apply before the deadline.

E-mail registration@denvermarathon.com if you have questions or if your contact info changes.

You may not give or sell your race number or timing chip to another individual. If anyone is found participating with another person’s number, that person will be disqualified and both people will be barred from future Denver Marathon events.
